PRACTICAL TIPS FOR ENSURING YOUR PERSONAL SECURITY

Speaker(s):

Est. Presentation Time: 1 hour

With rates of cyber fraud and personal identity theft on the rise, many of us wonder if we’re taking the necessary steps to secure our personal information. The good news is that there are relatively simple precautions attendees can implement today to protect their data and identity in the future.

The presenter will discuss personal security and tips to help clients secure their personal information, including:

  • Preventing online fraud

  • Digital footprint / online presence

  • Vetting household help

  • Residential safety and security

  • Preventing elderly exploitation

  • Travel security

This presentation was created after overwhelmingly positive feedback on Gary Rossi’s 2018 National Advisors Meeting keynote presentation, and it allows us to share personal security best practices with our clients and prospects.

Addressing a targeted audience for this event is crucial. When compiling an invitation list, be sure to consider:

  • Who will benefit the most from this event?
  • Who are you trying to reach with this topic?
  • What is the goal for this event?

Several populations that might find this presentation especially helpful include:

Age 65+ – Senior citizens are a growing target for cybercriminals seeking to steal savings or commit healthcare fraud.

Corporate executives – Those who hold valuable information and/or have high level access to data may be particularly targeted. This threat also extends to a corporate executive’s contacts, including assistants and administrative staff members who may have access to confidential data.

Age 18-24 – Young adults between the ages of 18 and 24 are especially susceptible to identity theft due to their willingness to share information on social media, pay exclusively with credit cards and access virtually all information via their smartphones.

Two follow-up emails are available to send after the event:
  • Those who attended
  • Those who were unable to attend
Both emails contain a links to:
A different deliverable or follow-up piece can be created for the event and a link sent via the email.
  • Estimated Presentation Time: 1 hour
  • A campaign will be created in Compass for all events and all emails will be sent out through Pardot
  • Be specific and intentional on who you invite
  • Discuss the intended audience with the presenter prior so he can better target their concerns
