Long-Term Care Decisions – Your Family’s Most Difficult Conversation
Speaker(s): This presentation is intended to be hosted by a local wealth advisor.
Est. Presentation Time: One-hour
It’s one of the most difficult topics to discuss with loved ones because none of us wants to consider the possibility that those we love may reach a point when they can no longer care for themselves. However, because an estimated 52 percent of Americans turning 65 today will develop a disability serious enough to require long-term care, it’s an important conversation to have. Coming to an agreement on long-term care arrangements before there is a need can protect the caregiver from unnecessary stress and help ensure the care recipient is cared for according to his or her wishes.
This is an interactive, discussion-based event. There is no formal presentation, but rather, a series of handouts and worksheets to help participants begin the process of considering care options and having the discussion with family members.
