FOLLOW UP FROM DISCOVERY MEETING
Client Follow Up
Call prospect within 2-3 days after the discovery meeting to check in and ask a few questions:
- What did you like / what didn’t you like about the meeting? OR I wanted to follow up with you about what we discussed in the meeting did anything in particular resonate with you?
- Is there anything we can help you with in terms of clarification or follow up?
Send a follow up letter or email that reiterates a few key goals and sets expectations for next steps
- In the correspondence with the prospect (letter, email, or phone call) ask for additional information that you still need to create the financial plan
- Financial Planning Checklist (for advisor)
- If you are needing documents from the client, send this list and highlight whatever is needed at this stage; once received documents will be scanned into eMoney vault by Client Service Associate
- Data Gathering Checklist – list of items for the client to provide
- If you used the new method of discovery, include follow up notes from that conversation using the template below
